Over the last couple of months, I haven’t participated in many challenges. A few new DTs have taken care of that. Not that I mind – don’t get me wrong – but I love creating for me too.
So today I figures I’d join in on this week’s Sunday Sketch from Studio Calico. Geralyn‘s awesome layout really inspired me. When I first saw it in the SC DT-gallery I knew I wanted to do something similar with the frame-paper from Sassafras, but I didn’t want to do it for this sketch, if you know what I mean – that’d be too similar. Instead, I dig up the old polaroid stamp from Studio Calico, and stamped on the B-side of the paper I chose to use as a mat for my photos. I didn’t want the polaroid stamp-lines to show, as I didn’t want my photos to be polaroids. I just wanted the size. I also rounded the corners to give it all a softer touch.
I loved the heart-paper from Crate Company. I’m usually a preserver, a hoarder, but I’m trying to… actually use my stash! And the chevron B-side om Bella BLVD! Wow! Perfect as mat for this layout! I had so much fun using the circle paper garland – I think I need more. At the end I added a few stickers from the new Dear Lizzy collection from American Crafts.
So… Thanks for visiting. I hope you’ll have an amazing Sunday!
