#NSDSC15 | Challenge 05 - Stamp It! with Agnieszka Malyszek and Lea Lawson
It's a challenge to put your favorite Studio Calico stamp to work anywhere! Check out how two card-makers used their favorite stamps to make some beautiful projects, then try their techniques for yourself!
Agnieszka Malyszek: Stamps and ink are my favorite embellishments in paper crafting! There is nothing better than a great versatile stamp set that can be used in many ways and for many different kind of projects. To celebrate today's National Scrapbooking Day I decided to create something different than a card. It’s not a scrapbooking layout but my today’s project is definitely bigger compared to what I used to work with. I created a stamped poster for my daughter’s bedroom. First I printed out my sentence directly onto white cardstock and then I created a floral background using stamps from the Mother’s Day stamp set.
Supplies: Mother’s Day Stamp & Die Set; Color Theory Ink Pad: Deja Blue
Lea Lawson: I've been dying to ink up this new Mother's Day stamp set that I ordered from Studio Calico this month, and I knew this challenge would be the perfect time! I've created a super sweet card for mom using one of the whimsical sentiments & a stem of flowers from the set. I've combined them with a more muted & trendy color combination of greys, blues & green. To keep it feminine, I predominately used a floral patterned paper from the Lisse Street card kit, and added some scalloped edges with trim & a doily.
Supplies: Studio Calico card kits - Lisse Street, Odyssey, Far Far Away, Park Ave; Ink: Versafine - onyx black; Stamps: Mother's Day Stamp & Die set; craft supply: doily, light blue jewels.
We can't wait to see your take on this challenge! To be entered to win a prize from the Calico Closet, please post your project in the Studio Calico Gallery by May 10th and add the tag #NSDSC5 in the description. Challenges may be combined - just add both tags in your description. Winners will be posted on Monday, May 11th.

Used a few of Ali Edwards story stamps to create a background in hues of blue. I masked the center journaling about my story of the first job I ever had.

I don't usually use stamps because I am never sure what to do with them. This was fun! I think I will be pulling my stamps out more now.

I just love stamps. Here's my card using two different stamp sets from SC. http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/163544-hello
Hi!
Ali Edwards has a tutorial on her blog about how to change the color. I opened the files in photoshop elements, re-colored them, then dragged them on to an 8.5x11 New File to print them out.
Thanks! I'm going to have to try it out this weekend.
