Challenge - Get Creative with Your Carolina Moon Embellishments! | Keisha Campbell
Today I wanted to share a project using embellishments from this month's Carolina Moon Card kit . I knew when opened the kit that I wanted to incorporate the fringed banner screen and sequins together on a project, and even though this is was my first time using screens, (and I'll admit, I was a little lost about how to use them), once I found a few helpful hints about silkscreens, I was ready to go!
I found steps to use silkscreens listed here to coordinate with some silkscreens from Studio Calico's shop. Seeing the steps helped me put it all together. It's really easy, trust me!
Using Silkscreens:
1) Place. Remove the backing from your screen, then place it sticky-side down on your material.
2) Prepare. Squeeze a small amount of paint on the screen.
3) Paint. Spread the paint evenly with a card or other flat object until the design is covered.
4) Pull. Remove the screen by slowly pulling and lifting it up. Voila!
Clean your screen after every use with a bit of soap and water or a baby wipe when you're done! Once dry, return it to its backing so you can use it again!
I used gold paint with the screen randomly on a die-cut circle-really easy peasy! I wished I had used the banner screen on more of my projects. I hope that I have inspired you to use your screen!

Just got my card kit tonight. First thing I'm going to do is silk screen the invitations I'm making! Thank you Keisha! Your work is flawless!

Yikes! My try at it was a disaster. When I pulled up the screen it ripped a layer of the cardstock off the card. Was my screen too tacky? I removed the paper and washed & dried the screen and tried again. It tore the paper again. Anyone else have this problem?
