Project Life | Week 6 ~ Neverland

This week we celebrated Chinese New Year, so there were lots of great food and family gatherings. So, I added lots of red elements onto this page with a mix of other color palette so as not to overwhelm the spread with too much red. I used a mix of products from Neverland Project Life & card kit, Tink, Wendy and Lost Boys add-ons, matching printables labels and elements from this March kit and some bits and pieces from Snippets collection.

For one of the cards on my right page with the family Chinese New Year reunion dinner picture, I uplifted some of Lisa Truesdall elements from her wonderful layout here http://www.studiocalico.com/users/gluestickgirl/galleries?page=2. Lisa cut out a few of the hexagon shapes on the pattern paper, mat it with another paper beneath and added some embellishments on the hexagons. So, I used the same concept by tracing a couple of speech bubble shapes from the Snippets Speech Bubble 12x12 mask, cut them out, mat with pattern paper from the card kit 6x6 paper pad and added a few embellishments onto the speech bubble shapes. I had a lot of fun doing this!
