Disneyland Mini Album
We took 1600 photos on our trip to Disneyland between all of our cameras. It was a daunting task weeding through those photos but I was able to fit 300 photos in this mini album. As I edited, I made decisions as to whether the photo would be 3x4 or 4x6. I also printed a few enlargements as 5x7 or 6x8, and made several collages on a 6x8 so I could fit lots of photos on one page.
I kept the embellishments in this album simple. I wanted it to be about the photos and our most memorable moments. Later on, I made a full PL spread, plus regular 12x12 layouts for my son's album and those I could go crazy on embellishing plus include more in-depth stories.
For this album, I started with an opening page of one of my favorite photos from the trip. I cut up extra maps to include in the pockets too, but also included full size maps in the back of the album in a page protector sewn down to size. I included journaling cards from Studio Calico and In a Creative Bubble, lots of labels and stamps and some arrows.
My photo collages included 6x8's of square photos (fit 12 photos) or landscape (fit 8 photos). I took photos of all of our flair badges (too bulky to include in the album) and printed them as photos. I love the last page with the shadows of the three of us (can see my boys Mickey ears) and the "Bye" from Bugs Land. Thanks for looking!
