Planner Tips | Be Happy

Stay organized and inspired all month long with inspiration from our Creative Team! The following planner tips are perfect for pairing with this month's "Be Happy" Kit, or just tuck them into your back pocket for a time when your creative mojo is low. Either way, we hope they’ll help inspire your next planner spread!

Use your content card.

Julie Kinneeveauk created a fun and versatile page marker with the content card in this month's kit for her spread, April Monthly. By punching holes in it, she can use it throughout the month of April!

Guest designer Jamie Pate cut her content card down to a tag and added embellishments for a gorgeous result on her spread, Be Happy Planner Kit ~ April Cover. This creates the perfect layering element to pair with her photo!

Create scenes with patterned paper.

On her planner spread, Planning Happy April Planner PagesApril Orr combined hexagon-punched patterned paper with short paper strips to create a cheerful sun in corner of her layout. It sets the mood and creates a great base to accompany her "happy habits" notes!

Guest designer Céline Navarro created a scene of mountains and clouds with patterned paper for her project, April Planner Kit | First Page. Not only is this a stunning first page to turn to in her planner, it's a fun, creative outlet to combine with regular planning and organization!

Spell it out with yellow alphas.

On her project, Week 15Julie Kinneeveauk highlighted prom day with the yellow alphas from the kit. We love the tone-on-tone look she achieved by layering the letters over yellow patterned paper!

Haley Pettit added yellow alphas to the blank left-hand column and cloud sticky note on her spread, Word Count Tracker // Personal Rings. Both her title and her goal pop off the page in bright yellow!

Record the weather with washi.

Céline Navarro cut individual scenes from her washi tape and included a weather forecast on her spread, April Planner Kit | Month Overview. We love the whimsy and fun this adds to her layout!

On her spread, Weekly Spread // Ban.do AgendaHaley Pettit used her washi to highlight the weather for each day of the week. With angry storm clouds expected on Friday, it looks like the perfect day to accomplish her to-do list: tidy up, write, and breathe!

Separate your notes.

Julie Kinneeveauk included a Mother's Day gift idea list on the cloud sticky note in her spread, May Monthly. By separating this list from the rest of her monthly spread, she's sure to keep finding the perfect gift a priority this month.

On her spread, Be Happy Stamp Sub // Weekly SpreadHaley Pettit sectioned out her notes with the frame filler stamp and various frame stamps from the stamp subscription set. This technique keeps all the text on her pages from blending together and helps ensure that she'll accomplish every task.

There's so much you can do with the "Be Happy" Planner Kit and April add-ons. Which planner tip do you plan on putting into action this month? Post your creations in the gallery and add a link in the comments. We can't wait to see what you'll make!
